Colleagues of Calligraphy Library

The Colleagues have an extensive library inventory. Members have access to a multimedia library of books, videos, slides, magazines and a variety of newsletters. Items can be checked out from September through May.

What's Happening Now!

This fall, member Judith Michalski will once again be offering her beginning italic calligraphy class through both the St. Paul and Minneapolis Community Education programs. Evening classes will run Tuesdays in St. Paul at Ramsey Jr. High and Thursdays at Southwest High School in south Minneapolis. Online information: www.mplscommunityed.com. Member Kris MacDonald will be teaching two alphabets in her ”Calligraphy - The Round Letters of Uncial and Foundational” at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, Tuesdays from Oct. 26 – Nov. 30, 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Register through www.HopkinsCommunityEd.org or call 952-988-4070. Look for Kris’ beginning calligraphy class later during the Hopkins winter session.

New Exhibit: The Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibition at the Science Museum of Minnesota will feature twenty-eight folios from The Saint John's Bible. These original pages have never been seen in the Twin Cities and allows the juxtaposition of the world's oldest and newest hand-scribed Bibles. Exhibit dates March 12 - October 24, 2010.
