Our 50th Celebration held on April 24, 2026

We had a truly wonderful day at Saint John's University celebrating the 50th year of our founding.

We affirmed the symbiotic connection between the creation of the Saint John's Bible and the growth of our guild.

We were moved to tears by a surprising video greeting from the still very vibrant Donald Jackson.

We were amazed at the research, planning, and execution plan that Tim Ternes and his team have figured out to bind the seven volumes of the Saint John's Bible.

While viewing the many extraordinary works of art on display today, I heard members and guests using the words, "verklempt," "overwhelmed," "awe-stuck," "stunned," "gobsmacked," and "dumb-founded."  It's not often I hear these words. May they inspire us all!

Thanks to [the 50th Celebration Committee] for all the work you did to make this day possible.

Thank you for all everyone did to put together such a special day! I'm so inspired, and agree with all those exclamations!

I told my husband about much of it, and he said, "Wow, you really had a special day!" He was very impressed.

I just want to say to [the team] who organized the day at Saint John’s - how much I appreciated my time spent there and on the campus.  What a moving day.  And what a privilege to be able to see the original manuscripts up close and personal!! That was the highlight of the day for me.  So very special.  I didn't join the colleagues until 1985 - so I wasn't in on the ground floor of the Saint John's Bible - but I can enjoy the reflected glory of being a part of the group that had such a significant part in bringing it about.  Many thanks again!

It was such a delightful day and event - appreciated meeting more of the members, too.
